Pirate's Sunset

The cannons grow silent.

The Golden Age of Piracy draws to a close, powerful nations now control the seas and are hunting you and your fellow pirates to extinction. The enemy has arrived and is now threatening your pirate cove. Defend it at all costs and make those scurvy dogs pay!

Choose from several different types of ammunition and blast away at your enemies! Crippling their sails, hull or crew to decrease their combat effectiveness. 

Utilise various sail states to out manoeuvre your enemies, cutting your sails to turn quickly and avoid an incoming broadside! If you take damage, your own effectiveness may become impaired!

Protect yourself and your base at all costs, if either perish... so does the other!

Controls

- Right click enables/disables mouse view which also controls your ability to fire your cannons.

- To shoot, aim in the direction you want to fire and when the mouse cursor is not visible left click.

- To switch ammo, scroll up or down.

- To move/turn, use the WASD keys.

Content

- 5 waves of difficulty.

- 3D graphics.

- Beautiful simulated ocean atmosphere.

- Scoring system.

- AI enemies.

- Complex health/mobility system for the player and enemy ships.

Roadmap

This game is still in development and I currently have the following plans for content and other internal refactors/modifications I will be making:

- Options menu allowing you to rebind keys and modify sound options.

- Improved AI.

- Implementing an inventory system to allow the player to gain gold, collect supplies and hold repair kits etc.

- Implementing a store system that allows the player to upgrade their ship and allow the player to purchase and sell equipment.

- Improvements to damage visualisation via visible damage to ships that reflects damage dealt.

I have a few extra ideas but we'll have to see how the rest of development goes. If you have any ideas or suggestions/issues please feel free to post them below!
